The Great Decisions discussion group will meet for eight Tuesdays through Feb. 27 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Leelanau Township Library meeting room in Northport.
Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the video series and meeting in a discussion group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.
The Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions program has flourished over the past 60 years into a multidimensional global studies program, adapted to multiple formats, including the informal discussion group being held at the Leelanau Township Library. The mission of the Foreign Policy Association today, as it has been for over 100 years, is to serve as a catalyst for developing awareness, understanding, and informed opinion on U.S. foreign policy and global issues. Through its balanced, nonpartisan programs and publications, the FPA encourages citizens to participate in the foreign policy process.
