The Chairman of the Leelanau County Road Commission, Robert Joyce, has filed suit against his former employer, the Village of Suttons Bay, and village manager Roberto Larrea. The suit revolves around Joyce’s status as an “essential worker” under Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s executive orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
