LCN celebrates volunteers

LCN celebrates volunteers

Leelanau Christian Neighbors (LCN) honored its dedicated volunteer team last Wednesday night at a special appreciation event held at The River Club in Glen Arbor. The casual evening was a tribute to the hundreds of individuals who generously give their time and talent to support LCN’s mission.

The celebration featured a live performance by local band Billy and The Kid, along with food, drinks, and a spirited round of mini-golf. As a small token of gratitude, each volunteer received a custom mini-golf ball to play with, bearing the new LCN logo. The evening served as a chance for staff and volunteers to relax, connect, and celebrate a year of shared purpose.

The event’s theme of appreciation was especially fitting as LCN anticipates its volunteer force will complete approximately 16,000 hours of service by the end of the year. This remarkable commitment is the engine that allows LCN to operate its five core programs, providing vital aid to neighbors throughout Leelanau County.
