Wednesday, Sept. 10

4:36 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller reports a man standing on the shoulder of the road and appeared to be swaying back and forth. Possibly under the influence. Thought he should be checked on. (Per law enforcement, subject was released from jail and he is walking home.)

8:48 a.m. — Leland Township — Web cam/living room sensors. White male there. Spoke with him on camera. Said he was electrical contractor but didn’t know any password. Two electrical truck there. (Per law enforcement, contractors there. No issues.)

10:13 a.m. —Kasson Township — Caller requests a call from animal control about a flea-ridden cat.

4:37 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is seeking a divorce. Spouse found out. Now she thinks he wants to harm himself.

6:41 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller purchased Lions tickets from Facebook. Turned out not to be actual tickets. Would like to speak with law enforcement.

8:05 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller’s brother is possibly drunk and causing issues. Caller would like him out of the house. (Civil issue per law enforcement.)

8:42 p.m. — Solon Township — Male is refusing to leave residence. Giving caller’s daughter a hard time. Verbal altercation. White, GMC SUV.

9:22 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller lives in Washington and she cannot reach her father. He lives alone and she usually talks to him every night at the same time. But he’s not answering. She would like him checked on. (Contact made. Everything’s fine.)

Thursday, Sept. 11

10:46 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller’s friend may be in distress. He spoke to her about an hour ago, indicated she “needed help.”

11:30 a.m. — Kasson Township — Caller reports his business signs have been stolen for about 1 1/2 years. He finally put air tags on them and now see where at least two of his air tags are present.

1:22 p.m. — Bingham Township — 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, other vehicle ran into the back of caller’s call. Vehicle is a red Mustang.

2:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Sobriety examine administer. Arrest made for operating while intoxicated.

3:45 p.m. — Solon Township — School bus with red lights on. Vehicle, a black Subaru Outback, southbound. Did not stop and went around the bus while it was stopped.

6:59 p.m. — Bingham Township — Neighbor’s German Shepherd attacked caller’s dog causing injury. Ongoing issue.

10:51 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller’s son was supposed to land at 4 p.m. and go straight to Leland. Mom has not been able to reach him. Both phone numbers go to voicemail. Caller is concerned because he indicated he would go straight to her residence. (Caller called back. Son is fine. His phone was dead and he was locked out of his vehicle.)

Friday, Sept. 12

8:53 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Vehicle passed a bus with red stop light active. Red Cadillac sedan.

11:03 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller was walking down Wheeler Road and a gray and black Toyota truck, possibly a Tundra, came by and she put her hand out to signify they should slow down. The vehicle then turned around and started following the caller, so she ran into a parking lot. Didn’t get a license plate. Last seen southbound on Wheeler. Caller doesn’t need to speak to anyone but wanted it documented.

11:14 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller’s brother was fired from his job this morning and is making suicidal statements. Caller wants police officers to take him to Munson because he is concerned that he will hurt himself.

11:21 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller is going to have a peaceful protest from noon to 1 p.m. that’s done every week. Some individuals in the group are concerned about something happening.

4:25 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Contacted by unknown number via text minutes prior to a personal protection order being served. Due to the content of the text message caller believes the message was sent by protected party.

4:34 p.m. — Leland Township — Welfare check. Last had contact around 10:30 a.m. She advised she was going downstairs to do her laundry. (Per law enforcement, she is alive and well.)

6:24 p.m. — Bingham Township — Renters have two dogs unattended outside that have been barking for three days straight. They are barking right now.

(Deputy spoke to the owner who was unaware that the dogs were an issue. They made some plans about what she can do so this isn’t an issue in the future.)

7:26 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — All white RV at the end of the parking lot. Wife is “drunk and acting stupid.” Won’t give caller his belongings. Male half is leaving on foot for the night.

8:22 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller reports a juvenile riding up and down Narlock on a small 4-wheeler. It is very loud and also doesn’t have any lights. Caller is concerned there will be an accident if it is no addressed. (Deputy spoke with mom and discussed the possible safety issues that can arise. Both understood.)

8:55 p.m. —Solon Township — Father and daughter are fighting. Daughter has been drinking. Father says that he is fearful for his life. (Per law enforcement, parties will separate for the night.)

10:28 p.m. — Kasson Township — Law enforcement checking on a vehicle at the park. Driver was planning on spending the night at the park but he has agreed to move on.

Saturday, Sept. 13

12:21 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Silver 4Runner on sobrieties. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

1:39 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller reports the neighbor is having a loud party. Playing “La Cucaracha” very loud. Would like it quieted down. (Per law enforcement, it was a wedding party. They agreed to turn off the music for the night.

8:31 a.m. — Centerville Township — Vehicle is clearly camping. Windows covered with tarps and material.

8:54 a.m. — Centerville Township — Illegal camping. Out with two persons in parking lot. Citation issues for illegal camping.

3:13 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Someone is halfway down the dune. Quite a few people — 10 or more — shouting for help to call 911.

3:22 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Subject wearing white hat, dark clothes in his 40’s. Hispanic male standing on the side of the road staring into the ditch. Been there for about a half-hour.

7:27 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Suspicious vehicles. Law enforcement spoke with the individuals. They were just scratching off some lottery tickets. They were advised to move on.

Sunday, Sept. 14

10:10 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller would like a welfare check on her father. Caller has not tried to contact him because he is verbally abusive. Hasn’t spoken to him since May or June of this year. Caller reported brother lives with father and also wants to know if brother is there.

10:29 a.m. — Kasson Township — Black Toyota sedan driving fast and swerving. Driving west toward Empire. Crossing the center line with opposing traffic present.

11:19 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Calling on behalf of grandson. Yesterday someone stole keys from his car. Grandson had to have grandparents pick him up last night. (Until the grandson calls to make a criminal complaint, change to “citizen assist.”

3:54 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Blue Buick with yellow sticker, weaving in and out of traffic.

7:49 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller is not cooperative. Needs gas cans brought to him. Dispatchers explained the police don’t do this. He was given a phone number to companies but he is not using those services. Clerk would like him removed from the store. Big Dog Towing called and stated that caller had contacted him and then the clerk yelled, “Get on the other side of the counter.” The phone then disconnected. Attempted to call back with no answer. (Per law enforcement, he is buying a gas can and should be getting gas here shortly. Suspect running on M-22. Taken into custody.) Enroute to Munson for an evaluation. Munson has been advised that a subject is being brought in and that he is uncooperative.

8:38 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller and her husband are en route to do an intervention with their son. Making suicidal statements. Has been angry lately. Would like someone in the area when they arrive. (Text sent to caller. She responded that they are “all good.”
