Grateful family

To the editor:

The love, kindness, generosity, and presence shown to Steve Stanton’s family has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our hearts are deeply touched and forever grateful for the warm embrace of this community. While Stephen’s physical presence will be profoundly missed in our lives, we know his absence will also be felt in the many ways he poured his heart into serving others.

A special thank you to the caring staff at Suttons Bay Congregational Church, who graciously pulled out every chair, bench, and couch to welcome the many who came to honor him—even borrowing chairs from Immanuel Lutheran across the street. Their efforts reflect the true spirit of love and hospitality.
