You don’t have to look to Washington, D.C. to see political shenanigans. In the past week a forged letter was sent to Empire village residents which drove one candidate to drop out of the race for village president. Todd Avis, announced Saturday that he was terminating his campaign and immediately resigned his trustee seat. *** Glen Arbor is a busy place, especially during the tourist season. A project is being discussed to make it safer. Named at this point the “Glen Arbor Connector,” a nonprofit is working with the Township Board to create a $1.6 million walking and biking trail along M-22 to connect downtown Glen Arbor with the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail near the Homestead entrance.
