During a physical and intense game, Leland boys soccer (5-6-2) grounded out a 4-1 win against Glen Lake Saturday during a pivotal Northwest Conference game.
“We knew if we didn’t beat them. It was going to impact a lot … we wouldn’t have had the chance to win the conference anymore. It was a decision game,” Leland senior Ignacio Creamer said. “We don’t really care about how we’re positioned in the state rankings and all that; we are focused on getting better, against good competition.”
The Comets avenged a 3-1 loss against the Lakers at the beginning of September.
