Phase one of repair work at Woolsey Airport Terminal in Northport has begun. The goal of phase one repairs is to keep the water out of the building to stop the deterioration. The roof and railing on the observation deck is also being removed and will be replaced with the addition of an arched roof. The Save Woolsey Airport Terminal (SWAT!) group is still raising funds to continue restoration efforts which would include the replacement of the arched roof with a metal roof.
