At last week’s Board of Commissioners meeting, I spoke twice during public comment about a hiring freeze in the Finance Department. My concern was straightforward: the freeze was proposed after a Finance Department employee filed a grievance against the County Administrator. I had never named the employee, and I did not mention Jim Dyer by name until he attacked the employee involved.
