The Leland cross country team traveled downstate to compete in the Shepherd Bluejay Invite, with five runners earning medals.
“Their determination grows with each competition,” said coach Ann Knudsen. “They continue to lift each other up with encouragement and support.”
Leland sophomore Sophie Grinage won her fourth race of the season with a time of 18:55, and junior Natalie Burpee also earned a medal by finishing 20th with a time of 21:04.
