St. Mary School hosted its 28th Annual Golf Classic Scramble at Sugar Loaf The Old Course, welcoming over 60 golfers and local sponsors Saturday. Though the event has changed hands over time — originating with the Schaub family — its core remains: celebrating community, connection, and family tradition.
This year’s event featured multi-generational families, with grandparents and parents participating together in support of the next generation of St. Mary Alumni. Some traveled great distances to join in, representing three or four generations of St. Mary School Alumni and highlighting the school’s deep-rooted legacy. Many new faces and couples also attended, expanding the opportunity for more future multi-generational golfers in the future.
Tiffany Zionskowski, (St. Mary Alum 94’) a multi-generational team captain, has played in the tournament with her father, Don Morton, age 77, brother, Tim Morton, (St Mary Alum 99’) and husband, Joe, for the last five years. Her daughter, now attending St. Mary’s, is the fourth generation of Mortons to go to the school. Each year, Tiffany also sponsors a memorial sign in honor of her late mother, Linda Morton.
