A 71-year-old Traverse City man is facing criminal charges after a fatal accident Sept. 10 in Elmwood Township.
The man, whose name is being withheld pending arraignment, has been charged with one count of operating while intoxicated causing death, a 15-year felony; two counts of operating while intoxicated causing serious impairment, a 5-year felony; as well as a misdemeanor charge of operating with open intoxicants in the vehicle.
The charges are the result of an accident in which 61-year-old Ronald L. Bellman of Cincinnati was killed shortly before noon Wednesday, Sept. 10 on M-22 near Walters Drive.
