Since August, the Rev. Lynne Fry has been settling into her role as the new pastor at Trinity Church, United Church of Christ in Northport.

Fry, her husband and daughter relocated up north from Albion, where she previously served for nearly a decade as pastor at Jonesville First Presbyterian Church. Fry lived in the Albion area for more than 20 years, but she said her and the family were ready for a change of pace and were more than excited to move to the village to begin a new chapter.

“My husband and I are both from a small town over in the Thumb, and we both thought this feels like home. This feels like the community we grew up in and people are kind, it’s beautiful, and it’s quiet and slower… It’s been unreal, we (husband) keep looking at each other saying ‘we live here,’” Fry said. “We have to pinch ourselves. And God’s fingerprints are all over it.”
