$5 Hatchery Stamp bill introduced to Michigan House

The fee for a hatchery stamp is $5.00.

An individual shall not take or possess chinook salmon, coho salmon, Atlantic salmon, steelhead, lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, walleye, splake, pike, lake sturgeon, or musky without a hatchery stamp, according to HB 5093 introduced Tuesday, Oct. 2. 

The fee for a hatchery stamp is $5.00. 
The bill also includes several changes to hunting licenses in the State of Michigan among other sportsman related activities. 

All money generated under this subsection must be allocated to the fisheries division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and be used for aquatic species production and stocking, including aquatic species not listed in this subsection.

Please share this post to help us get this information out to anglers across Michigan. Here is the background and details,” Northwest Michigan Fishing Club President Mike Radcliffe said. 

A $5 hatchery stamp would be required to fish for species produced and stocked by the DNR. 
This bill wants to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act by amending sections 43520, 43523b, 43532.
