‘Go solar’

To the editor:

If you want to save money on your utility bill go solar. The cost of solar panels has decreased by 40% in the last decade and 97% since 1980. Today solar panels are about 40% more efficient than they were in 2010. My husband and I can attest to saving money even though we also charge an EV. Because it is clean energy it is good for our planet, a way to care for future generations’ need for clean air, water, and quality of life. Coal plants on the other hand are the largest producers of carbon emissions. We can’t forget that the solar industry also creates jobs in manufacturing, installation and other related fields which support the local community. When you know the facts you can ignore the disinformation that the fossil fuel industry and unfortunately at this time what our government is telling us. We can make a difference for ourselves, our community, our economy, and our planet by choosing solar.
