A long, drawn-out MHSAA Division 4 regional tournament took place on Friday and Saturday, as the Glen Lake tennis team emerged victorious and won regionals at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Middle School in Traverse City.
Glen Lake won its second consecutive regional championship with a dominating performance from its singles and doubles players.
The Lakers scored 28 points and Traverse City St. Francis scored 22 points, sending both teams to the state finals. Glen Lake also placed ahead of Essexville, Saginaw Nouvel, Elk Rapids, and Harbor Springs.
