County parks eyed for improvements

Improvements to Old Settler’s Park and Myles Kimmerly Park have been approved by the county.

Commissioners voted unanimously, as part of their consent agenda Tuesday night, to approve refurbishment of the gazebo at Old Settlers as well as upgrades to the disc golf course at Myles Kimmerly Park.

Both improvements were recommended by the county Parks and Recreation Commission, but it is just a portion of work included in the county’s recently- adopted Capital Improvement Plan, which identifies priorities for the next five years.
