The future of Shalda Park was a central topic at the Empire Village Council work session earlier this month with a presentation laying out possible exciting changes to the community park.
The meeting opened with a presentation given by Dallas Wirtz from Gosling-Czubak detailing two preliminary options for the update of Shalda Park.
Shalda Park is located off of South LaCore St. just north of the Cherry Republic factory, and currently features two ball fields, two tennis courts, walking paths, exercise stations, picnic tables and grills.
