Northport Halloween festivities galore

Community events planned for Oct. 25, 31

No need to travel out of the county for your fair share of pre-Halloween festivities this weekend — Northport will be host to a number of spooky, Halloween related events and activities starting Saturday.

Leelanau Township Library will host “Spooky Saturday” Halloween themed STEM experiments and projects from 10 a.m. to noon to kick off a festivitiespacked day. Later in the afternoon starting at 5 p.m., Northport comes alive for “Witches Night Out,” the first of its kind in the village, and will include local businesses in the downtown area offering various special deals and Halloween activities at their own establishments. From 6-8 p.m., people can travel north of town to the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum to participate in a Halloween Lantern Hike.
