Leland boys soccer (14-8-2) scored the MHSAA Div. 4 regional championship game-winner with 30 minutes left when the ball found the foot of Leland Senior Adrian Spencer, who floated over the North Muskegon’s goalkeepers head and into the back of the net.
“It means a lot, especially in my senior year,” Adrian Spencer said. “We did very well on controlling the ball and being smart.”
After a back and forth start to the game, North Muskegon got a free kick which keeper Ravello Smith stopped easily. A couple minutes later, the Norsemen got another free kick that missed the net.
