Unfortunate

To the editor:

It was unfortunate the Enterprise reported only one side of the story regarding the Federal Gov. shutdown. While it printed in its Oct 2nd issue, the verbatim comment from Rep. Jack Bergman, “Democrats tried to load it up with $1.5 Trillion in spending for their radical, far-left wish list . . . ,” it chose not to identify what Democrats were actually seeking. Which is continuing health care subsidies for people who buy health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. The Democrats have refused to back a spending bill that doesn’t address this issue.

It is not difficult for the Enterprise to report both sides of an issue for its subscribers. Please do us that favor in the future.
