Holiday events in the making

Holiday events in the making
Kim and Dennis Armbruster recently visited cities and sites along the Danube River. Things may be slowing down in and around Omena, but there’s still lots of fun and interesting things to do. Today, Thursday, Nov. 6, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, there is a presentation at the Leelanau Township Library in Northport about local shipwrecks and the Grand Traverse Lighthouse’s efforts to map them. The presenter is Stef Staley, Executive Director of the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.

On Monday, November 10, the Library will be hosting its first ever “Friendsgiving” at 5:30 p.m. They will be using the cookbook “Potluck: Food and Drinks to Share with Family and Friends.”

Attendees will sign up for a recipe to bring either in person at the library or on their website. It sounds like a wonderful way to bring in the holiday season with friends and neighbors.
