4:35 p.m. — Kasson Township — Snowmobile groomer is going along the side of the road.

Wednesday, Jan. 10

4:35 p.m. — Kasson Township — Snowmobile groomer is going along the side of the road. He doesn’t have a permit to do that.

11:43 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Family trouble.

Thursday, Jan. 11

7:56 a.m. — Empire Township — Single vehicle into a phone pole. Nissan Titan. No injuries. Pole snapped. Utility lines are everywhere.

8:09 a.m. — Bingham Township — Vehicle in the ditch. Not obstructing the road. Driver is waiting on his ride and making his own arrangements to have it removed.

8:16 a.m. — Leland Township — Vehicle in the ditch. Unknown if occupants are OK. Caller had to get to school and couldn’t stop.

8:53 a.m. — Solon Township — Subaru Forester parking snow removal lane.

11:09 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Domestic.

12:37 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Multiple vehicle accident. No injuries. Send EMS for possible concussion/bruising.

1:17 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Three vehicles slid into each other. Occurred on the driveway to a property.

3:47 p.m. — Empire Township — Off-duty Park Service ranger discovered a vehicle in the ditch. No injuries. About 15 feet off the road. There is damage.

4:23 p.m. — Bingham Township — Vehicle is on a shared driveway. Caller can’t get to her house. Visitor completely blocking the driveway.

8:01 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller has a camera ring on his house. He is hearing voices.

10:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Domestic.

Friday, Jan. 12

9:49 a.m. — Kasson Township — Cows and horses are not being fed. (Per animal control officer animals are fine. They have food, water and shelter.)

10:33 a.m. — Kasson Township— Caller is having problems with trespassing snowmobiles.

11:45 a.m. — Kasson Township — School bus violation.

12:14 p.m. — Solon Township — Volvo XC90, school bus violation.

2:23 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Subject appeared at the Sheriff’s office after he was contacted about having a warrant and needed to produce a DNA sample and also had to go to WalMart for gift cards to “pay the fines.”(Subject advised it was a scam.)

3:28 p.m. — Leland Township — Vehicle in the ditch. No damage. They’re well off the road and working with their insurance for a tow.

6:47 p.m. — Kasson Township — Trees leaning over the roadway on powerlines.

7:43 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle with its hazards on. Vehicle will need to be pulled out.

10:03 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Subject has been in bed for three weeks. Caller wants him to go to the hospital. (Everything is fine. Subject is just in poor health and does not want to go to the hospital and if he did, he would call.)

10:44 p.m.— Elmwood Township — Electrical fire on a light fixture. Caller put out the fire but just wants to make sure.

Saturday, Jan. 13

2:44 a.m. — Kasson Township — GMC Sierra in the ditch. Wrecker is unable to get the vehicle out due to road conditions. They will come back in the morning.

2:52 a.m. — Leland Township — Subaru in the ditch. No one around. Vehicle is well off the road. Most likely weather related. Will leave it until morning.

10:48 a.m. — Centerville Township — Tan Toyota parked in the middle of the road. No one around. Blocking plow operations. (Vehicle was towed. Road Commission cleared the roadway.)

12:24 p.m. — Kasson Township — Road sand and law enforcement needed for traffic control while a vehicle is removed from ditch. Fire in the engine compartment extinguished. Valley Road closed temporarily. Road Commission request to send vehicle for additional work/ cleanup. Sand needed for the large amount of water that is now freezing.

4:17 p.m. — Bingham Township — State Police out with a vehicle in the ditch. No damage. Passerby pulled it out.

4:50 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Westbound truck, red with a cap, took out caller’s entire mailbox and post five minutes ago.

5:32 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Domestic.

6:21 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Truck needs help getting out of the ditch.

6:51 p.m. — Leland Township — Chevy Malibu parked on the side of the road facing the wrong way. Law enforcement checked a couple of residences to see if anyone owns the vehicle. (Located the owner. It will be moved into the driveway.)

9:14 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Dodge Dakota in the ditch. AAA has been contacted. They said it was not a high priority, but they would send a tow to get it as soon as they can.

10:28 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Female is getting threatening texts.

Sunday, Jan. 14

10:56 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Older Ford truck in the ditch. Apparently missed the stop sign on Omena Road and went through the T- intersection.

12:31 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Ford Explorer in the ditch. Park Service will check on them. (Vehicle has been moved.)

1:48 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller’s debit card was charged $422.94 at a hardware

store and rental for a

snowblower.

5:41 p.m. — Bingham Township — Vehicle in the ditch. Driver is getting a friend to help her. Law enforcement will stay on scene as the incident took place on a dangerous curve. (Friend has arrived.)

Monday, Jan. 15

3:50 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Ford truck in the ditch. Another truck on the scene. May be trying to help him out.

8:25 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Dog tied up outside. Caller is concerned. (There are several dogs inside the house. But law enforcement didn’t hear anything barking while walking around.)

11:14 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Truck was blocking caller’s driveway so he wrote on the window in dust.

`1:30 p.m. — Bingham Township — Individual has been plowing his driveway and pushing the snow into the road. The plows pushed it into the driveway this morning but he’s pushing it back into the road.

3:01 p.m. — Bingham Township — Subaru in the ditch. Looks like they are trying to shovel it out. (Got it out.)

8:52 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Law enforcement out with a Ford Escape at the marina. (Driver looks to be eating dinner.)
