Fatal defendant waives prelim

A 71-year-old Traverse City man is facing criminal charges after a fatal accident Sept. 10.

Kenneth Marotzke was in court Oct. 29 and waived his right to a preliminary examination.

Marotzke has been charged with one count of operating while intoxicated causing death, a 15-year felony; two counts of operating while intoxicated causing serious impairment, a 5-year felony; as well as a misdemeanor charge of operating with open intoxicants in the vehicle.
