Biggby opens on West Bay; donation drive for PoWeR! Book Bags

There’s a new coffee shop in town, and it is Biggby Coffee, located next to Tom’s West Bay, which had its grand opening Tuesday.

Apart from the grand opening, Biggby and local non-profit PoWer! Book Bags are teaming up; with every purchase, $1 will be donated to PoWeR! Book Bagsuntil Sunday, Nov. 16.

“When she told me her story, about the illiteracy in our communities, that was huge. It starts with the tiny person and extends all the way up to the older people. And once you get literacy out of the way, you make great people,” Biggby owner MaryAnne MacIntosh said.
