Enterprise facility on the market

Alan and Debra Campbell, former owners of the Leelanau Enterprise, have announced that they are selling the buildings that continues to house the county’s weekly newspaper.

“It’s been a good run, and the buildings have been a big part of why the Enterprise has been so successful,” said former co-publisher and owner Alan Campbell. “We bought the publishing operation in 1997, and three years later moved from a building we leased from Richard C. Kerr to our new building on land purchased from Bruce and Betsey Price. The move allowed us to grow our business and better serve our Leelanau County community.”

The Campbells sold the newspaper in 2018 to J. Louis Mullen, owner of Blackbird, L.L.C. Many members of the current staff worked for the Enterprise when it was owned by the Campbells.
