When Holly Lang talks about the natural world, her voice lights up in a way that tells you she’s not simply describing an experience, she’s describing a relationship. Whether she is hiking, exploring nature through photography, or crafting a necklace inspired by the lake, Lang is guided by a single inspiration — nature, and the mystery it holds.
Lang was born in Lansing, grew up in East Lansing, and spent family vacations in northern Michigan. After two decades in Wisconsin, she moved back to Michigan in 2019 and bought a home in Empire.
“It just felt right,” she said, describing how quickly she settled into the community and the landscape around her.
