Keith Ladzinski, a photographer who travels the world seeking images for different stories, just happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture the image of a supercell storm moving across Lake Michigan in 2019 from the Empire Bluffs Trail in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. That photo and all it portends is the cover of the December 2020 edition of the National Geographic magazine. The photo is one of many stunning images of the Great Lakes basin that illustrates the challenges the lakes face in story written by Tim Folger. *** A group in Solon Township is seeking a referendum on a rezoning approved last month by the Solon Township Board. The board voted 4-1, with trustee Steve Yoder opposed, to approve a request from Bob Robinson to rezone 20 acres from Agricultural/Conservation to Business 2 to build a storage facility.
