Over 200 guests filled the St Mary School gymnasium last month for the 43rd annual St. Mary School Auction. This year’s theme, “Shake, Rattle, & Roll,” took attendees back to the 1950s, and auction goers embraced the nostalgia with poodle skirts, vintage dresses and jackets, bowling shirts, pink lady costumes and more.

Doors opened at 6 p.m. welcoming guests with appetizers, dinner, cash bar, and tables filled with an array of silent auction items ready for bidding. Games included the popular 50/50 raffle, milkshake punch and code to the tunes. Auctioneer Dan Boss, led the live auction which brought in over $42,600.

Live auction items included a collection of handcrafted student art projects--such as a quilted throw, wooden bench, art sketches, canvas art, and a coveted nativity scene coordinated by art teacher, Deb Shutt. Other popular live auction items included Dessert of the Month, Soup of the Month, Principal for a Day, and Dinner with the Bishop.
