The Northern Michigan Ballet Theatre (NMBT) will return to Northport this weekend with a production that Artistic Director Tom Morrell says the community has come to embrace.
“We love doing the show up there,” he said. “I think you’ve got a really in tune audience up there in the arts…such an appreciative audience.”
Although the Northport show follows the same staging from years past, this season held at least one surprise behind the scenes. A dancer injury meant that the company had to completely re-choreograph a number. “We actually choreographed it on Monday and performed it on Saturday,” said Morrell.
