To those making merry and bright

The season of giving is at hand and the community of Leelanau County is showing up to make it bright.

The Toys for Tots program has been collecting gift items for the past several weeks which will be available at the Holiday Needs program next week.

One hundred needy families have registered for the program and will no doubt have their pick of ageappropriate toys, personal care items, clothing, gift cards — all donated for the cause.
