Santa is coming to Omena

Santa Claus is coming to town! Generations of Omena families, friends, and neighbors have come to greet Santa in Omena on Christmas Eve. Santa has confirmed that he will be arriving again this year. The festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. at the community room in the firehall, with cookies and caroling.

Come enjoy the camaraderie. It’s not unusual to see three generations of a family there. In some cases, all three generations have greeted Santa in Omena on Christmas Eve. It is also not unusual to have families from neighboring communities come for a chance to tell Santa their Wish List. Everyone is welcome. It is truly a timetreasured event.

The village is decked out for the holidays. We are fortunate to have so many organizations and volunteers, as well as our special businesses, that care so much about preserving this historic place. As you consider your year-end giving, don’t forget about the Omena Historic Society (OHS), the Omena Village Preservation Association (OVPA), and the Omena Presbyterian Church (OPC). Gifts to those three “O’s” are tax-deductible and contribute to the future of Omena. You can go to their websites to learn how to donate.
