Respect … powerful

To the editor:

Regarding the Youth For Christ special use permit being discussed in Leland. There appears to be a lot of emotion and perhaps also much misunderstanding on both sides. Sadly, many of my longtime friends appear to be “taking sides” in an acrimonious way.

I fear many on both sides have been stirred up without truly knowing all the facts, respecting legitimate concerns and details on each side. Perhaps we all need to take a deep breath.
