Glen Lake girls basketball (4-2, 3-0 NWC) completed a statement win against Onekama (2-2, 1-2 NWC) 49-35 in a pivotal Northwest Conference game Tuesday.
“Defense is really what did it for us tonight. Over the break, we really harped on playing great defense. They moved the ball well offensively and handled Onekama’s pressure,” Glen Lake coach Brad Fosmore said. “This was a big conference game and we have to keep building. Just one game at a time and keep setting us up for good things the rest of the season.”
After a back-and-forth first half, Glen Lake went into the break with a narrow 22-18 lead.
