Courage

To the editor:

So what have we learned this past year? We’ve learned about the normalization of the unthinkable. We’ve watched in real time as actions that would have ended political careers a decade ago, become just another Tuesday. We’ve seen the steady erosion of institutions, the attacks on the press, the dehumanization of non-white people all in the name of Christianity.

We’ve learned how exhausting and scary it is to be on the right side of history.
