Cleanup of Sugar Loaf Resort is underway and is being managed by a company with long experience in Leelanau County. Officials of Cleveland Township, where the resort is located, learned late Tuesday that the Kalamazoo-based firm Envirologic has been retained by the new owners of the longclosed and decaying former ski resort. *** Wednesday’s attack on the U.S. Capitol has been condemned by Leelanau representatives at the state and federal level. However, there’s more work to be done to ensure election security, they say. Congressman Jack Bergman issued a press release Wednesday evening in which he defended his objections to the electoral college certifying the vote confirming Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.
