Glen Lake skier Willa Murray (Leland senior) rose to the occasion at the Bryan Groenevelt Memorial Invitational race Monday at Crystal Mountain with a second place and a time of 1:03.54 in slalom.
“I went in for today’s race with a lot of confidence,” she said. “I was putting in a lot of work training in the days leading up, so I was really ready to go. I felt like I had something to prove today.”
Murray bounced back after a couple of tough falls during the first race of the season last week.
