As 2025 closed-out, the notfor- profit Northport Dog Parade announced combined donations of $22,000 to local canine-related charities.
The year-end contributions benefited the Cherryland Humane Society, the Great Lakes Humane Society, Leelanau Christian Neighbors and three Leelanau County veterinary providers.
The donations to the humane societies will go towards ongoing operations. The donations to Leelanau Christian Neighbors will help fund the acquisition of dog food for their food pantry.
