Thank you hunters

To the editor:

The Empire Area Community Center, (EACC), through its Basic Needs Initiative, wants to thank the whitetail hunters who donated 1550 lbs of ground venison to the local food pantry. Through the efforts of local hunters, Michigan Sportsman Against Hunger, The Empire Food Pantry, Cherry Republic, and local deer processors, The Buck Stop, Buntings Cedar Market, and TC Butchering, this food drive started during deer season was an enormous success. Our local residents have food needs, and our citizens and businesses responded.
