Board backs health insurance changes

Changes — but not too many changes — are being made to retain health insurance coverage for county employees and staff in 2026.

Commissioners approved a proposal from Lew Wolters, a health/employee benefits agent with BHS Insurance, who appeared before the county board during a special meeting Friday.

At the same meeting, Jeff Nielson, area vice president and Chris Glass, area vice president Gallagher Insurance, Risk Management and Consulting.
