To the editor:
Trust is vitally important to any relationship. It is built and strengthened over time. Trust, friendships and alliances are being shattered everywhere by this president!! His insistence on “buying” Greenland (or acquiring by other means) is stupid, bullying and shameful!! It sparked protests by tens of thousands of our friends and allies over the weekend. That’s on top of insults and threats to Canada, our longtime friend, neighbor and ally. Our national and international security is being decimated, not strengthened, by this bullying about Greenland and NATO. Friendships and alliances are built on trust, not with threats as is being done now.
I wrote that letter to the editor yesterday (Sunday 1/18) regarding the unfolding drama/ tragedy of our president demanding to “buy/own” Greenland. It gets worse every day! This morning, like a spoiled 5th grader demanding what he wants, he’s saying that since he didn’t get the Nobel Peace Prize he’s insisting on taking Greenland! It’s like holding a friend at gunpoint and stealing their jewels!!! This is meanness and insanity on display!! We need to find/vote our way back to a better America.
