Empire Township shuffle; Wiejaczka appointed

Empire Township has a new supervisor after Kathy Wiejaczka was appointed following the resignation of Supervisor David Hendricks, earlier this month resigned citing health issues.

Wiejaczka, a township trustee, was appointed supervisor by the board, after the resignation was accepted at the board’s January meeting.

There was a motion by Hendricks to appoint Wiejaczka to the supervisor position, seconded by clerk Cheryl Clark.
