Chery Marketing Institute President Amy Cohn is entering her second year at the helm of the organization and is focused on searching for the CMI’s North Star to align the cherry industry.

“One of the first things that we did was we gathered industry leaders, respected individuals, and got them in a room to discuss the good and the bad and all the things in between,” Cohn said. “We identified and were able to articulate that purpose, which is to revitalize and sustain the U.S. tart cherry industry, economically and culturally, for generations to come.”

CMI identified three strategic mandates for 2026, including improving industry profitability, starting with growers.
