Leland Public School Superintendent Ryan Huppert has been found to be “effective” based on the 2025 Michigan Association of School Board guidelines.
“While there is no ‘highly effective’ category any longer, you would have likely better fit into that description, was rating was as high as possible on many categories,” the board of education wrote in a letter to Huppert, who was hired in mid-2025 to replace former superintendent Stephanie Long. “You are less than half a year into the role of superintendent … but have already made a tremendous and positive impact on staff, students and community members alike.”
