Empire Village Council members tackled a busy agenda Tuesday night, approving updates to the water master plan and personnel wage increases, while grappling with how to move forward on conceptual plans for Shalda Park.
“We got our results from Dallas (from Gosling Czubak Engineering) about the two plans, and it was overwhelmingly for option two, I believe,” said council member Maggie Bacon. Yet debate over transparency and public input left council members divided on the pace of park planning.
Despite the apparent preference, discussion quickly turned to concerns over transparency.
