Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan (Bigs) has announced the 2025 Big Brother and Big Sister of the Year, recognizing two exceptional volunteer mentors who have made a lasting impact on the lives of local youth.
Steve Niergarth of Cleveland Township and Rachel Roe were voted Big Brother and Big Sister of the Year for Antrim, Grand Traverse, and Kalkaska counties.
Each year, Bigs honors outstanding mentors who exemplify the power of connection and the life-changing impact of one-toone mentoring. Nominated by community members across the region, these Bigs demonstrate extraordinary commitment to their Littles and to the mission of empowering potential through mentorship.
