Northport people shine

To the editor:

I would like to take a moment to recognize something truly special about our community here in Northport.

A few days ago, I was involved in a car accident during one of our snowy winter days. Both vehicles ended up in snow banks, and while we waited for the police to arrive, something remarkable happened. One by one, people began to stop. Strangers rolled down their windows to ask if we were okay. Some pulled over to check on us in person. One kind man even went home, returned with a shovel.
