Multiple salary resolutions for Leland Township board members were approved on Monday, however, final approval will be up to the electors and will be on the agenda once again during the township’s annual meeting in March.
A salary resolution for Leland Township Supervisor Clint Mitchell totaling $35,020 was the first of several others to be approved, followed by clerk Lisa Brookfield’s salary at $60,138. The salary for treasurer Shirley Garthe was approved at $46,695, and trustee salaries were approved for $8,011.
“What these (salary resolutions) represent is what we’ve had for the last several years and that is a cost of living increase that is equal to the state’s inflation rate multiplier, this year that’s 2.7%, so those are the numbers you see there,” Mitchell said at the meeting.
