Renee Good and Alex Pretti are being portrayed as angelic victims of ICE brutality. But the truth is that both committed multiple crimes before being killed and both are, in truth, the authors of their own demise. Pretti crime #1 was approaching federal LEO’s while armed and failing to announce to them that he was carrying a weapon, as was his duty. Crime #2 was failing to have his CPL on his person, as required by law. Crime #3 was physically interfering in/impeding ICE operations. Crime #4 was refusing to obey ICE’s lawful commands to back away. Crime #5 was resisting arrest by grappling with agents while armed. His own voluntary actions led directly to his death.
Good crime #1 was impeding ICE operations by parking her car perpendicularly in front of ICE vehicles, blocking them in. Crime #2 was further interfering in ICE operations by repeatedly blowing her car horn. Crime #3 was refusing to obey lawful commands to exit her vehicle. Crime #4 was resisting arrest by attempting to drive away. Crime #5 was using her car as a deadly weapon when she drove directly at an agent, striking him. Her own voluntary actions led to her death.
