Hartesvelt out; Cowan returns

Cathy Hartesvelt is no longer a county employee.

County administrator Jim Dyer informed commissioners late Tuesday afternoon that the finance director had been terminated effective immediately.

This on the heels of a split vote Tuesday to recommend approval of a resolution to transfer responsibilities previously held by the clerk’s office to the county administrator using the county’s finance and human resources directors.
